Original Medicare (Parts A & B)
Original Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people age 65 and older and certain individuals with disabilities. It includes two parts:
Part A (Hospital Insurance)
Helps cover inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, hospice services, and certain home health care.
Part B (Medical Insurance)
Helps cover doctor visits, preventive care, outpatient services, lab work, medical equipment, and other medically necessary services.
Together, Parts A and B provide the foundation of your Medicare coverage. However, they don't cover all healthcare costs. We'll help you understand what's covered, what's not, and the options available to fill those gaps.
